Once you purchase a Web hosting plan, VIP UK HOSTING stores your site on one of our servers and assigns it a unique DNS. The DNS serves as the address that allows people around the world to find and view your website. This unique address is required in order for people to view your site. By purchasing a website hosting package, you're basically buying space on one of our servers. It’s similar to the space on a computer’s hard drive, but the server allows your website’s files to be accessed from anywhere.

We offer both Windows and Linux hosting. Which one you need depends on what you want to do with your site, like whether you want to create a shopping cart, host a podcast, or add a blog. If you're not sure if you need Windows or Linux, you can always call VIP UK HOSTING hosting support team. We're here to help 24/7. The link below offers a simple, step-by-step guide to picking the best web hosting package for your site. Our different packages to find one that fits the size of your website and the traffic it generates. And as always, our award-winning 24/7 support can answer any of your questions.

You can build your website in several different ways – from hand-coding with HTML to using a website builder program. If you require a lot of functionality and versatility from your website, you’ll benefit from programs and applications that can help you build your site. Our Web hosting plans give you access to free, server-side applications that can be used to develop and customize your website, including popular Content Management System (CMS) applications like WordPress® and Joomla!®. You can even add a Dedicated IP if you plan to add an SSL Certificate later.

f you’ve built your website in a HTML editor, like Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expression Studio, you have to upload your website files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). We have a built-in FTP File Manager that you can access in our Hosting Control Center. However, if your files are larger than 20 MB, we recommend using the tool FileZilla, which works with Windows®, Mac®, and Linux® operating systems, or other third-party FTP clients.

Moving your website to VIP UK HOSTING is a simple process. If you have access to your existing website files, you can upload them through our Hosting Control Center or via an FTP client. If you don’t have a current copy of your website, you should be able to request one from your current website hosting provider. If you have any questions along the way, our 24/7 support team is here to assist you. We can help you determine the best method for transitioning your website to a VIP UK HOSTING account.

VPS hosting gives you root access to your server, dedicated resources and an isolated hosting environment, so there are no other sites sharing your resources. That means that, even though there may be multiple virtual machines on the same physical server, you are in an isolated environment with dedicated resources (RAM, Storage) and virtually allocated CPUs that no one else can touch. Plus, with root access, you can make technical changes that would not be allowed on a shared hosting plan. You get the advanced performance, control and flexibility usually reserved for dedicated servers, but at a much lower price.

VPS hosting sits in the intersection of shared hosting and dedicated servers. Unlike shared hosting, VPS is an isolated environment with dedicated resources, which means you have more processing power and your site loads faster. VPS is best suited for applications that have seasonal traffic spikes or RAM-heavy/CPU-intensive applications. If you are developing a new application that has a complex database and you’re not sure how many visits you’ll get, VPS hosting is the affordable option to start with before you upgrade to a dedicated server.

We use this analogy on our web hosting page. Shared hosting is like an apartment building – lots of residents in the same building, sharing the same resources, but also very affordable. Dedicated servers are like having your state-of-the-art house, where you’ll pay a lot more, but you also don’t have to share the space or utilities with anyone. VPS is in the middle, like a townhouse, where you have a few residents in the same building, but you each have dedicated resources and are in full control of your home. It costs less than a dedicated server, but still gives you much of the same benefits.

All of our VPS plans include: 99.9% uptime guarantee, free snapshot, resource monitoring, 1 dedicated IP, root and SSH access, and FTP accounts. You can call our support team if you need more IPs

No. VPS hosting avoids bad neighbor effect by offering a more isolated environment where you get dedicated RAM and storage, along with allocated CPUs.

Yes. Every dedicated server hosting plan comes with Web Host Manager (WHM), which gives you complete control over creating and customizing your account, as well as managing all aspects of your server.

Yes. If you currently have a VPS hosting account with us, you can upgrade to our dedicated hosting at any time by ordering a new server. For fully managed customers, we will migrate your data from your current account to your new server. You can also upgrade either your VPS or your dedicated server with Premium DNS, which improves both your security and performance.

We want you up and running as soon as possible. Our standard dedicated hosting server configurations can be set up in minutes. However, some server add-ons and custom configurations may require longer setup times.

Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) is a means for storing data on multiple hard disks, then linking the disks so that the operating system on your server views them as a single entity. We offer RAID-1 with our Windows dedicated server hosting. This RAID method of data storage is known as mirroring. Data is written to at least two disks, which offers a high degree of data security, but incurs a slight performance decrease due to capturing data on two disks.

Our VIP UK HOSTING team is on-site and available 24/7/365 to ensure our servers – and your sites – are running at peak performance.
